The Online Meditation Clinic
What are meditation clinic sessions?
Would you like a space to explore your meditation practice with an experienced meditation teacher?
The meditation clinic is an opportunity for you to explore where you may be stuck in your practice or discuss issues you have been having. My aim is to guide you to develop your practice, so it can best serve you in your life.
You may like to use the time to reflect on questions you have or things you have noticed in your practice. If you would like, I can guide you in a range of practices, and then we can explore what arose for you. I will offer guidance and pointers on how to develop your practice further.
Today, many practice meditation primarily on their own perhaps following a course, or using books or apps, however, 'checking in' and having guidance from an experienced teacher can be really helpful; it can help you see where you may get stuck and other issues that can be hard to see on your own.
My experience
I have had a daily meditation practice for over 10 years and have regularly been on silent meditation retreats in that time. I first undertook mindfulness teacher training with Breathworks led by Vidyamala Burch in 2014. I have run many standardised mindfulness meditation 8 week courses. Recently, I sought to deepen my understanding of sharing and guiding meditative practice; I undertook a two year training for teaching awareness and compassion practices led by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach as part of the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Programme (MMTCP) in conjunction with the University of California Berkeley, Greater Good Science Center.
Good practice
I am insured to teach mindfulness and meet the requirements of the Good Practice Guidance for teaching mindfulness-based courses published by the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches. I have regular supervision and attend several silent retreats a year. I am a member of the The International Mindfulness Teachers Association (IMTA) which is dedicated to the professionalisation and standardisation of the mindfulness field.
