8 Week Mindfulness for Health course This course is for people with chronic pain, illness, and long-term conditions. The award winning Breathworks Mindfulness for Health course teaches you mindfulness skills to help you improve the quality of your life and your health. You will learn: How to manage pain, illness and fatigue in daily life How to breathe into the present moment and find choice Breath and body awareness Gentle mindful movement and relaxation kindliness towards yourself and empathy for others
The cost of an 8 week group course is £200. The classes are 2 hours long. I ask for a £50 deposit to secure your place. Please send your payment when you have talked to Carla-Jo and include it with your registration form. Deposits are non-returnable. Sometimes there are concessionary places available please talk to me to see if you may be eligible.
One-to-one 8 week Breathworks mindfulness for stress course. You might choose this as you don't feel comfortable in groups or you would just like the course tailored to your particular needs. This 8 week course costs £360 (£45 for a 50 minute session) and includes practice MP3s. If you are doing the stress course you will receive The Little Mindfulness Workbook by Gary Hennessy and a practice book. If you are doing the Health course you will receive Vidyamala Burch's book Mindfulness for Health. Please pay for the course before the first session. On some occasions I am happy for you to pay weekly if you are able to commit to the 8 weeks.
Distance learning one-to-one 8 week Breathworks mindfulness for stress/health course using Skype. If you are unable to get to my courses or prefer to learn from your own home then this is the course for you! We cover everything that is in the group 8 week course with a few variations because we're doing it online! The session will last 60-70 minutes. There will be a particular theme each week to explore together and we will practice different mindfulness techniques with space for you to talk about your experiences.

8 week Mindfulness for Stress course This course is for anyone dealing with stress of any kind, as well as for those wishing to bring a greater sense of richness, fulfilment and meaning into their life. I not only teach you ways to reduce stress, but also ways to become more ‘stress-hardy’ and resilient, so you will be less thrown by life’s difficulties.

Mindfulness Mentoring I offer mentoring for people who have completed an 8 week course and would like support to help them develop their practice. I offer this online or at The Practice Rooms in Bath. Online sessions are £40, in person they are £45.
Mindfulness Meditation Drop in Sessions in Bath. These sessions are on hold at the moment but I would like to start them up again so please get in touch if you are interested.
These sessions are aimed at people who have some experience of mindfulness practice. The sessions are based around four key mindfulness practices the body scan, the mindfulness of breathing, mindful movement and kindly awareness meditation. Each week I will lead you through two or three of these. It's a great opportunity to practice and share with others.
The course will be taught by Carla-Jo Geraghty a fully accredited breathworks trainer.
Breathworks is accredited by Good Practice Guidelines for Mindfulness Teachers UK and the FHT (Federation of Holistic Therapies). Unless due to illness or something unavoidable, you are asked to attend all 8 weeks of the course and the follow up day. We will post you hand-outs and information if you have to miss a week.
To get the best value from this course you will need to set aside 10–30 minutes of practice time each day and keep different kinds of Practice diaries. Practice is the key to mindfulness and the amount of practice you put in is reflected in the benefits you will feel.
You will need a CD player to listen to the meditations during the week. Each session you will need to bring a mat to lay on, blanket and head cushion. Please wear loose fitting clothing suitable for simple Mindful Movement. There will also be chairs available.
I will supply course CD’s, a course folder for hand-outs, notebook and pen. Tea and coffee will be provided for the break in the session. Please contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any further questions.
